Apple is always looking for ways to break through and push boundaries with its cutting-edge innovation. Just recently, Apple added the satellite messaging feature to the iPhone, enabling users to have seamless communications even in locations with no network coverage. Now, they're bringing this feature to our wristwatches too. This can be helpful when we find ourselves wandering off to locations without internet access.
From our sources at Bloomberg, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is planned to arrive in 2025. The satellite feature of Apple Ultra 3 is limited to messaging without any advanced satellite features like Emergency SOS and Roadside Assistance via Satellite present in the iPhone. Nonetheless, if confirmed, the Apple Watch Ultra will be the first smartwatch that supports satellite communications, setting the pace for other tech companies.
Mark Gurman from Bloomberg reports that Apple may also include the blood-pressure monitoring feature. This isn't the first time we've heard rumors of Apple watches being capable of monitoring blood pressure, and neither is it the only feature that has been long awaited. We all expected the Apple Watch Series 10 to come with satellite texting. Due to technical issues, the feature wasn't ready for release yet so it wasn't included. But if it is eventually added this time, the feature, like other health detection features of Apple Watch will offer only general observations and not specific readings. It can help detect any signs of hypertension.
The Apple Watch Ultra 3 offers more advancements to the Apple smartwatch. The prospects of satellite texting and the rumored blood-pressure monitoring make Apple watches adaptable to consumers' needs.
